AXIS-Y Advanced Aqua Boosting Ampoule Review

With winter already settled here, it feels like a fresh new beginning. It’s the perfect time to try new things such as new skincare products. I am thrilled to work again together with AXIS-Y to review some of their new products – and one of them is a new ampoule – the Advanced Aqua Boosting Ampoule – which is part of the Water Your Skin collection! Not only their products are gentle and effective, but the concept of their brand as climate-inspired personalised skincare is intriguing.

If you have sensitive and/or combination skin, prone to irritation, and you are looking for products that are gentle and soothing, yet effective, AXIS-Y products are definitely for you. For 20 days, I tested the AXIS-Y Advanced Aqua Boosting Ampoule every day as part of both my morning and evening routine.

About AXIS-Y

The focus of AXIS-Y is on the effects of the environment on the skin – the growing pollution, stressful factor and climate change. Together with travelling from one corner of the world to another, there are unique skin concerns that arise from going from one climate to the other and the need for personalised skincare. They are the first creators of climate-inspire skincare!

They are committed to their values of natural-derived skin-loving ingredients, safety, no animal testing, vegan-certified and effective formulas. I could immediately see their care for the environment by the packaging. So many companies use bubble wrap or packing peanuts and it breaks my heart a bit to see so much plastic. But AXIS-Y uses a special type of wrapping made of paper, a great eco-friendly alternative to bubble wrap. Their values and the feeling their products give is reflected in the cardboard packaging of each product also. The background of off-white with a tint of green, has accents of darker green (for the ingredients’ illustrations) and red (for the trademarked ‘6+1+1 Advanced Formula’). Not only that but also the containers of the products with green bottle, label that matches the box, and white caps. I highly enjoy using products that are soothing for the eyes and a pleasure to use, even before actually opening and using them.

Advanced Aqua Boosting Ampoule

The ampoule’s core ingredient is hyaluronic acid, which helps the skin retain moisture, together with 6 base ingredients (Centella asiatica, purslane, Madecassic Acid, Asiacia acid, Asiaticoside, Madecassoside) which soother, nourish, and strengthen the skin, as well as preventing and improving skin damage. The technology that brings them all together is ANTI SEBUM P(HD) 0.5% which is an evening primrose, arrowroot, pine needles and elm root complex which help regenerate damaged skin, control the sebum and act as antibacterial agent.

The AXIS-Y Advanced Aqua Boosting Ampoule is quite thick and has to be quickly applied. It also can feel quite sticky after application. I usually use about 1-2 full droppers for the face and the neck. After a few days I realised that because it’s based on hyaluronic acid, it is better and easier to be applied it on moist skin. So I started to spritz some water all over my face and neck, and then use 1 dropper for both. After it let it absorb into the skin, I continue with the rest of the routine.
