[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Unless you have lived under a rock, there was absolutely no chance you could have escape the famous “millennial pink”. You definitely saw it on your favorite celebrities, in hair trends, interior design, Starbucks frappuccinos, makeup palettes and basically everywhere on Instagram and Facebook. Even if you don’t know its name, you have definitely seen it and drowning in it.
But what is exactly “Millenial Pink”? The term describes every pink shade from Rose Quartz to Rose Shadow, Candy Pink and Crystal Pink (and so on). Before Rose Quartz was named one of the colours of 2016 by Pantone , this pink has been around for several year, also known as Tumblr Pink.
Millenial pink does not describe one colour, but rather a range of shades that can go from a beige with a bit of pink, to dusty rose and a salmon pink. Because of it’s variety in its quantity and level of intensity of pink, the millennial pink is very versatile. I love how all these shades are not the Barbie pink that catches the eye, but rather something minimalistic, quiet, classy. Even if Pantone announced in Fall 2015 that Rose Quarz would be one of the 2016 colours, it is past mid-2017 and the colour is still going strong.
How to Style Millenial Pink
It is becoming a timeless colour that will become a staple in our wardrobes next to classy blacks, whites and beige neutrals. It is a color that can be use as a neutral but also as a pop of color, everything depending on how the outfit is composed. Because it still contains the bit of red in it, the millennial pink goes well with anything green – you must not have missed the banana leaves against a on millennial pink background or palm trees with a beautifully pink sunset.
That is why I chose an all pink outfit featuring this silky pattern body and a pink skirt for a super girly millennial outfit.
