It’s November and winter holidays are SO close! While I do love warmer weather (though not above 25 degrees) I am always looking forward to colder temperatures. There’s plenty of reasons why, but I boiled it down to 3 reasons why cold weather is amazing.
Why Cold Weather is Amazing
1. Layering
I like summer, ok? But who doesn’t like to wear a nice jacket over a tee or a nice sweater over a shirt? How about a cosy sweater to cover the fact that you ate a bit too much last night? You can’t do that in summer! You cannot hide the fact that you sometimes eat like a little piglet pizzas and ice-creams (that is totally ok!). It’s all there, summer makes you feel guilty and ashamed of your body. Colder weather says – do whatever you want and here’s a nice chunky sweater to make you feel cosy! Which brings me to my next point!
2. Cosy oversized knits
This has to be my favourite part of cold weather in terms of fashion. Those cosy knits are always there for your – they keep you warm, they feel for you on bad days all because of their soft chunky knittiness (because they are knitter, right? get it? ). I I am here wearing my long pink oversized knit with a denim shirt (love the combination of blue and pink) but I would definitely wear it over another cosy knitted sweater (why no? the more knits the merrier).
3. Hot drinks
And not just Pumpkin Spice Latte, I’m talking about hot black coffee. All summer I would melt and go for 10 iced coffees and frappes every day, and now I switched to 10 hot coffees and lattes. Isn’t this perfect? To feel all warm, inside and outside, while wearing a cosy sweater and drink a hot coffee? All while the cold weather outside could freeze you to death in a second? If this isn’t perfection, I don’t know what is!

I love the start of Fall when it’s the “perfect” cold but when it starts getting the CRAZY NY cold OH no NOT a fan! See wearing flannels and comfy sweaters and everything pumpkin OH I’m all in! That sweater just seems perfect for a snuggle in a comfy chair with a hot latte and a blanket ahhhhh 🙂
Yes, I like fall cold, when your ear and nose don’t freeze, but you can still ear cute giant scarves

Cute sweater! I think being able to bundle up is my favorite reason to tolerate the fall. I hate to be cold. I do like a hot drink and although I drink them year round I probably drink them more in the cold months and not just because it’s pumpkin.

I’m looking forward to trying the lindt hot chocolate at costa mmm. I love layering and feeling all cost in my scarf and hat. As long as it is dry I don’t mind the cold.

Absolutely agreed with this. I prefer cold weather because you can add layers, but in the summer you can’t strip your body heat off! Love the looks in this. Also, have you tried the Lindt hot chocolate currently in Costa? Kept me real warm Saturday in the cold!

I love the winter even if I can’t tolerate the cold.
I love layering my clothes up and hot drinks are a must! My favourite at the moment is Caramel Chococino in my Dolce Gusto Machine.
