AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment

As I grew older, I have been having less and less skin problems, compared to when I was a teenager. But every month, I would get a stubborn spot or have blemishes on my face that I struggle to make them heal faster. And it’s a challenge to find a product that treats the spot without drying it too much and making it worse. AXIS-Y contacted me to try out their Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment, perfect for healing blemishes while keeping the skin hydrated. I decided to give it a go because none of their previous products disappointed me and have used them up to the last drop! Not only their products are gentle and effective, the concept of their brand as climate-inspired personalised skincare is intriguing.

If you have sensitive and/or combination skin, prone to irritation, and you are looking for products that are gentle and soothing, yet effective, AXIS-Y products are definitely for you. For 15 days, I tested the AXIS-Y Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment as part of my morning routine.

About AXIS-Y

AXIS-Y’s focus is on the effects of the environment on your skin – the growing pollution, stressful factors, and climate change. Together with travelling from one corner of the world to another, there are unique skin concerns that arise from going from one climate to the other. AXIS-Y are the first creators of climate-inspired skincare!

All of their products have natural-derived skin-loving ingredients, are safe, have no animal testing, and are vegan certified. I could immediately see the care AXIS-Y has for the environment by the packaging – so many companies use plastic wrappers (like styrofoam or bubble wrap) and it breaks my heart. But AXIS uses a special type of wrapping made of paper, a great eco-friendly alternative. Their values and the feeling their products give is reflected in the cardboard packaging of each product also. The background of off-white with a tint of green, has accents of darker green (for the ingredients’ illustrations) and red (for the trademarked ‘6+1+1 Advanced Formula’).

Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment

The main ingredient in this product is 4-Terpineol – it is found in tea tree extract, and contributes to the healing of blemishes. This blemish treatment also contains tea tree extract, camphor leaf, liquorice root, green tea leaf, mentha aquatica, and broadleaf bamboo. All of these ingredients have antioxidant properties that calm, soothe, revitalise and reinvigorate the skin. It is also infused with hydrating Ceramide capsules to help restore the skin barrier.

I use the Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment as part of my skincare routine, whenever I have a spot on my face. I usually apply a small amount on that area, after I clean and tone the skin. After the product is absorbed, I continue with the rest of my skincare routine.

The Spot The Difference Blemish Treatment comes in a dropper bottle, smaller than your usual ampoule / serum bottle. The point of this treatment is not to apply to the whole face, but rather on problem areas. I was expecting it to be a rather thick gel, but it actually is very lightweight and as soon as I apply it onto the skin, it becomes watery and is quickly absorbed. I would say that a little goes a long way! In terms of scent, it had a very subtle one – almost herbal with a hint of tea tree. I love this kind of fresh scents for my skincare products. I am using this gel not only when I see a spot forming but also before (to prevent it become too painful) and after (to help with the healing).
